Fantasy Football Week 6 Start or Sit: Mike Wallace

One wide receiver that fell hard in fantasy football drafts this summer was Mike Wallace of the Miami Dolphins. He was previously a top-tier wide receiver, but unlike LeBron James, the move to South Beach has all but killed Wallace’s fantasy value this summer.

However, Wallace has once again exceeded exceptions. The versatile wideout has hauled in a touchdown in three of the team’s first four games. He has also added 246 receiving yards and has quietly put up numbers each week this season, obviously excluding their Week 5 bye. He has once again emerged as a legitimate fantasy wideout.

If there is one thing that could be concerning it is that Wallace was limited in practice for most of the week with a foot injury. He has been on the injury report each week and he hasn’t missed a game. The foot injury doesn’t appear to serious, but it will certainly be worth monitoring for the rest of the week.

The Dolphins face an underrated Green Bay Packers unit this weekend. They are currently have the ninth ranked pass defense (208.3 yards/game), but they are still allowing 17 points per game to opposing wideouts. This is certainly a matchup that can be exploded by Wallace and offensive coordinator Bill Lazor.

Wallace has earned his role as a WR3 this season and will be a must-start week after week. If you own the speedster, make sure he is active in Week 6.
