The fantasy football season is almost half over, and at this point in the year, every win counts. To help you prepare for this weekend's action, here are some bold predictions for Week 8 of the 2014 fantasy football season.

Rodgers has thrown 13 touchdown passes over the last four games and he is once again in MVP form. A-Rod will face off against the Saints' 28th ranked pass defense in and seems primed to have yet another 3-TD game.

The Lions have to travel all the way to London for Sunday’s morning contest and the jetlag will likely have a big impact on the offense. Detroit will also likely be without WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) and RB Reggie Bush (ankle), so don't be surprised to see Stafford struggle to find his rhythm in the game.

SLEEPER – RB Tre Mason, St. Louis Rams

After months of hearing about the fantasy potential of Zac Stacy, the Rams suddenly have a RBBC on their hands. Mason is coming off a respectable game in which he racked up 85 yards on 18 carries and scored his first career touchdown. He will likely see the bulk of the carries again this weekend and will be a great sleeper candidate to roll the dice with.

INJURY CONCERN – WR Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions

Johnson continues to be plagued by an ankle injury that has limited all season long. He hasn’t caught a touchdown since Week 1 and he hauled in only three passes in the last two games that he actually played in. Johnson is listed as questionable for this week, but it looks like Megatron will once again be watching on the sideline.

Bold Stat – RB Marshawn Lynch – 100 YDS, 2 TDS

Lynch has a great matchup this weekend, as he will face off against a Carolina defense that is currently 26th in the league against the run and is giving up 22.1 fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. Lynch hasn't scored a rushing touchdown in two weeks, but Beast Mode is primed to have a monster outing this Sunday.
