Fantasy Football Week 10 Start or Sit: Reggie Bush

The Detroit Lions are coming off of their bye, and in turn, Reggie Bush is coming in as a probable starter. The Lions have been a surprise so far this season, and, more surprisingly, Bush hasn’t played much of a role in that success. He comes into this game with disappointing performances for his faithful fantasy owners — having a single game over 10 points. With his dwindling value and return coming against a stout Miami Dolphins defense, his value this week is minimal.

Of course, he’s due for a breakout at some point, and you probably invested a high draft pick in him, so you want or need to start him. But the Lions have found success with Joique Bell and Theo Riddick, so they don’t feel as inclined to use Bush as an every-down back this season. In his return, Bush will be acting as part of a three-headed beast, and any of them can score. However, Bell is the preferred goal-line opportunist.

Bush’s value this week lies within yards, and the Dolphins just allowed a 100-yard performance from Denard Robinson, so there’s hope there. But Robinson was a featured back, and saw nearly 20 carries, whereas Bush’s last game with even over 10 carries was in Week 4. So unless you want to bank on the off chance he lands in the end zone this week, Bush’s value will likely float around six points entirely off all-purpose yards. When it comes down to it, he’s a desperate start this week.
