Fantasy Football Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickup: WR John Brown

The Arizona Cardinals continue to pull away from the rest of the NFC. They are 8-1 on the year and coming off yet another big conference victory in Week 10. Unfortunately, Arizona saw a change in quarterback this past week. Starter Carson Palmer went down in the fourth quarter and it was later revealed that he tore the ACL in his left knee. It appears that the veteran gunslinger is done for the year and left many fantasy football owners wondering about the state of the Zona offense.

After he went down, QB Drew Stanton came in to lead the offense. He finished the game 3-for-5 fir 85 yards and one touchdown, including a 48-yard bomb to WR John Brown.

Brown’s long touchdown grab is very promising to see moving forward, especially since Palmer is done for the season. Stanton appears to have all the confidence in the world in Brown and the speedy wideout should see plenty of targets downfield each week moving forward.

Brown is an obvious hit-or-miss fantasy option, but his potential is too good to ignore. Out of his 29 catches, seven of them have shocgone for over 20 yards. He is a legitimate deep threat and will always be a threat to haul in a long gainer.

Brown is only owned in 7.7% of ESPN formats and deserves to be owners in league with 10-plus owners. If you have an open roster spot, add this speedy wideout for the stretch run.
