Many fantasy football owners thought the breakout running back from the Jacksonville Jaguars was going to be Toby Gerhart. Instead, Denard Robinson, who was a quarterback for the majority of his collegiate career at Michigan, has emerged as a quality fantasy running back.

Since being given the start in Week 7, Robinson has scored at least 11 fantasy points in each game he has played. Knowing that, the Jags will clearly be relying on him in Week 12. With the Indianapolis Colts focused and in need of blowing out a team, the Jags will likely give the ball to Robinson a ton because he really has been the only productive player on this offense.

With Blake Bortles running the show in Jacksonville, Robinson’s emergence couldn’t have come at a better time. While Bortles is a talented player and he will only improve as time goes on, Robinson has been nothing short of spectacular. Remember, there isn’t a lot of talent on this offense and that makes what Robinson has done in the past few weeks even more amazing.

The Jags are coming out of the bye and that is just another reason why you should play the Michigan product. Robinson is not only good at running from the backfield, but he also is huge as a checkdown target for Bortles out of the backfield. Quality running backs are hard to find in fantasy leagues. With the playoffs emerging, you should put your money on Robinson. Although he plays for the Jags, his play over the past month is undeniable and he should be able to keep it going against the Colts and their defense, as the game will be a high-scoring affair.
