Building the Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup for Nov. 24

There are seven games on the Monday night NBA slate and that provides a moderate amount of daily fantasy options to choose from on FanDuel. As always, DFS players should monitor reports closely leading to tip-off as the NBA can provide some of the most infuriating late-scratch situations imaginable. However, let's focus on the positive for now and take a look at how to build the perfect NBA FanDuel lineup for Nov. 24.

CP3 is one of the players that I'm definitely paying up for against the Charlotte Hornets. Charlotte is ranked 29th in the league when it comes to defensive efficiency against PGs. Additionally, the 107-91 thrashing that the Los Angeles Clippers received from the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday was embarassing. The Clippers, especially Paul, will take their frustrations out on the Hornets and he should flirt with, or get, a triple-double.

For most of this season so far, I've done everything to avoid Jameer Nelson until he showed signs of finding his groove with the Dallas Mavericks. It seems like things are slowly turning around for him as he has scored 20-plus fantasy points in three out of his last four games. Facing the Indiana Pacers, who rank 20th in defensive efficiency against PGs, Nelson should be able to justify his price, which would equate to 23 fantasy points.

"Sweet Lou" looks to be on one of those hot streaks that he would have when he was on the Philadelphia 76ers. Over his past two games, he has scored 28.2 and 48.3 fantasy points, which greatly exceeds his cheap price. His matchup against the Phoenix Suns may not seem favorable, but we must remember that he will be mostly facing their bench players. Phoenix's bench ranks 24th in defensive efficiency and Williams will take advantage of that.

Normally, it's preferable to start Wesley Matthews at home, but tonight's game against the Philadelphia 76ers is an exception to that rule. The 76ers are currently ranked 28th in defensive efficiency against SGs and they're not getting better any time soon. Matthews will need 31 fantasy points to justify his price and, despite him averaging 22 fantasy points over his last five games, he should be able to score within the 30-35 range.

(SF) LeBron James - Cleveland Cavaliers - $10,100

LeBron James is the second player that I will be paying up for tonight and there's a great chance that he will score the 50.5 fantasy points that he needs to justify his expensive price. He hasn't eclipsed the 50-fantasy point mark in his last five games, but he now goes against an Orlando Magic team ranked 27th in defending the SF position. Just like Chris Paul, this matchup seems to have triple-double written all over it for The King.

(SF) Kostas Papanikolaou - Houston Rockets - $4400

Here is my sneaky cheap play of the night and I wish I knew how to properly pronounce his name. However, I do know how to pronounce the word "value" and Papanikolaou has provided a great amount of it over his last three games by averaging 24.3 fantasy points in that span. He has benefited greatly from the absence of Terrence Jones and should continue to do so against a New York Knicks team ranked 24th in defending SFs. He should score 25 easily.

Bullying is frowned upon in our society. However, if you expect to win in DFS then you'd better embrace the concept of bullying other teams with your player selections. For example, the third player that I'm paying up for is LaMarcus Aldridge against a Philadelphia 76ers team ranked 22nd in defending PFs. He needs 46.5 fantasy points to justify his price and LMA should be able to score within that range for this contest. He's a very safe pick.

(PF) Channing Frye - Orlando Magic - $5000

While the Cleveland Cavaliers struggle to get their chemistry together, it would be wise to take advantage of them before it's too late. One of the glaring deficiencies to take advantage of is their No. 25 rank in guarding PFs. This is something that an effective "Stretch 4" like Channing Frye should be able to take advantage of. He needs 25 points to justify his price and should be able to hit that by the end of the game.

The over-under for this game between the Toronto Raptors and Phoenix Suns is 207.5 and that means there should be plenty of fantasy goodness to choose from. With $ 5700 left in my salary cap, I figured it would be wise to get some exposure to this game with Toronto's favorite Lithuanian. Facing a Suns team that's ranked 29th in defending the center position, JV should easily exceed his value and put up 30-plus fantasy points.
