NFL FanDuel Week 14 Value Play: C.J. Anderson
Running back Montee Ball was an extremely popular fantasy football selection this summer. He was a fixture in the second round, and he even snuck into the first round in deeper formats. Ball has unfortunately been sidelined with a groin injury for the majority of the season and his backup, Ronnie Hillman, has ended up having some productive outings in his own right. Since Hillman has also been sidelined with a foot injury this month, rookie C.J. Anderson has been able to come alive for fantasy owners this fall.
Anderson posted a jaw-dropping 167 rushing yards with one touchdown in Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins. The 23-year-old rattled off another 168 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13. He saw 31 total touches (27 runs/four receptions) against the Phins and another 34 (32 runs/two receptions) touches against the Chiefs. He has seriously produced like an elite level running back over this two-game stretch.
Denver faces a respectable Arizona Cardinals defense this weekend that ranks sixth against the run (89.3 yards/game). However, defenses must respect QB Peyton Manning and his All-Pro receiving options, which will once again leave Anderson with plenty of soft boxes to rumble through this Sunday.
Neither Ball nor Hillman hasn’t practiced this week and it looks as if they will be out again this weekend. Anderson will likely see another 20-plus touches this Sunday and will be a steal for under $8,000 in FanDuel formats. He may not be worth starting as a RB1, but he will be a bargain as a RB2 in Week 14.
Week 14 FanDuel Salary: $ 7,800
