NFL FanDuel Week 14 Value Play: Isiah Crowell
After the Cleveland Browns shockingly parted ways with free agent super signing running back Ben Tate, the team was obviously ready to lean much more on the two headed rushing attack of Terrance West and Isiah Crowell. Naturally, their fantasy football value went up, but many were unable to separate the real value between the rookie duo.
Well, West has been the much more productive back for the majority of the season and has starred the past couple games. He has 504 rushing yards on the season to go along with four total touchdowns (three rushing/one receiving). Unfortunately, the first year back out of Towson had a costly fumbled last week and finished with only seven carries. He has now seen fewer than eight carries in two of the past three contests and seems to be losing more carries with each passing week.
As a result of West’s declining fantasy value, Crowell has made a nice niche in this offense. The rookie from Alabama State has seen 12 or more carries in four straight games. He has scored three times over that stretch and has averaged 66.1 all-purpose yards (54.8 rushing yards/11.3 receiving yards). Crowell has also scored seven touchdowns on the year, and even though they have been rather sporadic, he still has four more total touchdowns than West.
Crowell will be a great value pick in any daily league this week, but particularly in FanDuel formats. His cheap salary will allow allow fans a chance to save some and help them pair the back with a much more expensive back. So if you are looking for a decent value pick in FanDuel formats for Week 14, make sure to select Crowell this weekend.
FanDuel Week 14 Salary: $ 6,500
