Fantasy Football Playoff Challenge: Draft QB Aaron Rodgers

Of all the quarterbacks heading into the postseason, the best option from a fantasy football perspective is easily Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers.

QB Peyton Manning simply doesn’t look healthy right now and last year’s AFC Champions may struggle to make it far into the postseason in 2014, while Russell Wilson and Tom Brady have also struggled to fill the box score as of late. Rodgers has simply posted numbers week after week.

It seems that each game, either Jordy Nelson or Randall Cobb have a monster game, and often cases in the same game. Of all the teams in the postseason, Rodgers easily has the best wide receiver duo to move the chains.

The Packers also have a stud running back for the first time in years in Eddie Lacy. The former first round pick will be used often to keep opposing defenses honest against the Pack, which only give A-Rod more space to work downfield. This offense averaged a staggering 33 points over the final eight games of the regular season and should consistently put up over 28 points per contest throughout the postseason.

Green Bay has a first round bye, which may make it tough to trust the veteran quarterback, but this team is too hot to ignore right now. They don’t seem like a team that will be going home early, so A-Rod should have plenty of time to rack up fantasy points in the FFPC.
