Fantasy Golf Sleeper For 2015 Pebble Beach Pro-Am: Hunter Mahan

With the news that Tiger Woods will miss an undetermined amount of time as he recovers from his latest back injury, the fantasy golf field will be even thinner this week. Despite the lack of big names this week, though, Hunter Mahan looks like he will be a strong sleeper pick in all fantasy formats.

Mahan has made the cut at Pebble Beach in seven straight years. He has cracked the top-15 in four consecutive trips, including three top-six finishes. He even posted a solo sixth place finish here last season.

Mahan has even been extremely efficient this year. He has made the cut in all five of his tournament appearances so far through the 2014-14 season. He has also cracked the top-30 in each tournament, including three top-17 finishes. He has been a serious contender in every tournament that he has turned in a card this season.

Mahan will be the ultimate sleeper pick this week at the AT&T Pro-Am. He won’t necessarily be a threat to win it all, but he should be a pretty safe bet to finish inside the top-15 with the limited field making the trek to Pebble Beach.
