The fantasy baseball season is fickle. A first-round pick could make your season easy, unless he were to get injured. It is devastating when a player is expected to be a superstar, but instead they are absent from your lineup. Outfielder is a deep position, so you can recover from a setback, but you should still be careful. Here are ten injury-prone outfielders you should avoid in upcoming fantasy drafts.

Angel Pagan's reputation has plummeted his value in fantasy baseball. In his nine year career, he has played in over 100 games three times. Those odds aren't in his favor to turn around this year coming off a 96 game season that only produced 27 RBIs.

The young Toronto Blue Jays outfielder was forced to get knee surgery this offseason and will miss a portion of the season. He has started light work, but is still a ways away from being ready to return. A knee injury is something that doesn't fully heal until the next offseason on most occasions, so don't expect this to be the only time Saunders misses.

Josh Reddick is one of the most fun players to watch in baseball. The problem is we don't get to watch him play that often. He cannot stay on the field. He has only played one full season in his career.

7. Carl Crawford

While with the Tampa Bay Rays, Carl Crawford only had one injury-plagued season. Since then, he has only had injury-plagued seasons. Crawford is just not worth a roster spot anymore, especially in the crowded LA Dodgers outfield.

6. Carlos Beltran

Carlos Beltran spent two seasons in St. Louis avoiding the disabled list. New York must be bad luck for him, because he was put on the DL multiple times last season. He isn't getting any younger, which means he is no longer worth the risk.

Impending suspension notwithstanding, Josh Hamilton has other reasons that keep him off the playing field. Last season, he was only able to play in 89 games after starting off the season as the hottest player in baseball. Now, he is going to miss the beginning of the season with injury, and could miss the whole thing due to a suspension.

A.J. Pollock had huge expectations coming into the season last year. Many thought he was part of the youth movement that could make the Arizona Diamondbacks a surprise contender. None of it was meant to be, and Pollock couldn't stay on the field.

Mark Trumbo is so tempting in drafts. He straight rakes when he is healthy. He just isn't healthy enough to be worth the risk. It may seem unfair to say after one injury-filled season, but that is how it happens sometimes.

Carlos Gonzales should be one of the best players in baseball. When he is on the field, his combination of speed and power is something every manager wants on his team. Unfortunately, the injury bug has followed Gonzalez for the past few seasons. Now, he is becoming a forgotten commodity.

Matt Kemp has a bad hip. That may be the worst injury for a baseball player to have. It puts you on the DL multiple times every season. It derailed numerous careers. Kemp's hip almost ruined the trade to the San Diego Padres. That's a terrible sign going into the season.
