There are only four NBA games scheduled on Super Bowl Sunday, which means building the perfect FanDuel lineup is going to require some creativity. The following lineup undoubtedly carries some risk, but its upside is impossible to ignore.
PG - Rajon Rondo - Boston Celtics - $8,400
Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY SportsRajon Rondo will have some extra motivation against his former team on Sunday as the Sacramento Kings take on the Boston Celtics. The Kings are rumored to be contemplating firing their head coach George Karl, but I don't think it will factor into their performance as he's essentially been on the hot seat all season.
PG - Emmanuel Mudiay - Denver Nuggets - $5,400
Getty ImagesEmmanuel Mudiay should receive no less than 30 minutes for the Denver Nuggets, who will be without Jameer Nelson against the New York Knicks. Mudiay's matchup isn't ideal, but for his price, it's hard to imagine him failing to come through.
SG - Evan Fournier - Orlando Magic - $4,600
Getty ImagesEvan Fournier will draw the start at small forward for the injured Tobias Harris on Sunday. He should play around 30 minutes, and provide tremendous value for his $4,600 price tag.
SG - Dwyane Wade - Miami Heat - $7,800
Getty ImagesWithout an abundance of intriguing options at shooting guard, paying up for Dwyane Wade is a no-brainer on Sunday. He's been logging right around 30 minutes per night, and should finish with 30 fantasy points in a favorable matchup against J.J. Redick.
SF - Evan Turner - Boston Celtics - $5,900
Getty ImagesJae Crowder is dealing with a bum ankle, and although he's slated to start against the Sacramento Kings, he could be limited. Thus, Evan Turner appears to be the better option, as he's played incredibly well of late, and should see right around 30 minutes.
SF - Omri Casspi - Sacramento Kings - $5,100
Getty ImagesOmri Casspi carries far more upside if Rudy Gay is ultimately ruled out for Sacramento, but should provide adequate value even if Gay is able to lace up. Expect between 20-30 fantasy points.
PF - Kristaps Porzingis - New York Knicks - $6,400
Getty ImagesKristaps Porzingis has been mired in a slump of late, but finally broke out against Memphis on Friday with 17 points, 10 rebounds and an astronomical six blocks. With Carmelo Anthony out, New York needs another monster showing from the Latvian rookie against Denver, so his usage rate should be up. The Nuggets don't exactly showcase impregnable frontcourt defense, so expect to get your money's worth from Porzingis.
PF - Aaron Gordon - Orlando Magic - $4,900
Getty ImagesAaron Gordon has underwhelmed over his last two games, but he will continue to start and receive around 30 minutes a night as the Orlando Magic simply don't have any better options at power forward. In a favorable matchup against Atlanta's Paul Millsap, who gives up a ton of fantasy production, expect Gordon to be worth his $4,900 price tag.
C - DeMarcus Cousins - Sacramento Kings - $11,100
Getty ImagesDeMarcus Cousins isn't a big fan of George Karl, but he's not going to give up on a game simply because it seems like Karl could be gone after Sacramento's next loss. Cousins has an excellent matchup with Boston's feeble frontcourt -- don't miss out.
