Building The Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup For March 29

If you played yesterday’s lineup, then you know that it fell short from cashing despite scoring a decent 284.7 points. Even though Zach LaVine and P.J. Tucker were big disappointments, the worst culprit by far was David Lee, who scored an abysmal 2.4 fantasy points. Thankfully, today is a new day and there are six games on tonight’s schedule. Let’s avoid the fantasy landmines this time around as we build the perfect NBA FanDuel lineup for March 29.

(PG) Kyrie Irving - Cleveland Cavaliers - $7,000

With the news that LeBron James will sit for tonight's contest against the Houston Rockets, Kyrie Irving is in a good spot for success. Despite his matchup not being ideal, Irving has been successful against Houston in the past. He is averaging 36.6 fantasy points against it over their last three contests and gets a bump in usage with James out. He should score between 30-40 fantasy points tonight.

(PG) George Hill - Indiana Pacers - $5,200

George Hill has been up and down lately, but I feel that he will have one of his "up" nights against the Chicago Bulls tonight. The Bulls have struggled to defend PGs this month and are ranked 27th in defensive efficiency against them. This bodes well for Hill to score at least 25 fantasy points and making value. However, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he scored 30-plus.

(SG) James Harden - Houston Rockets - $11,000

James Harden has been absolutely sensational lately and is averaging 58.2 fantasy points over his last four games. I don't expect his incredible play to slow down anytime soon as Houston fights to solidify a playoff spot. Therefore, facing a Cleveland Cavaliers team ranked 20th in defensive efficiency against SGs this month, I expect nothing less than 45 from Harden with a strong chance for 55-plus.

(SG) Brad Beal - Washington Wizards - $5,700

Brad Beal has either scored sub-20 or 30-plus fantasy points over his last four games. Based on his current trend, he should have a bounce-back performance against the Golden State Warriors tonight after scoring only 16.7 in a plus matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors are ranked 26th in defensive efficiency against SGs this month and it should lead to Beal scoring at least 25 with 30-plus upside.

(SF) Paul George - Indiana Pacers - $8,700

Paul George is averaging 39 fantasy points over his last two games. However, I expect a bigger output against the Chicago Bulls tonight due to their exploitable defense. They're ranked 23rd in defensive efficiency against SFs this month and giving up the ninth-most fantasy points to the position during that span. This should lead to "PG-13" scoring at least 35 with a strong chance for 45-plus.

(SF) Trevor Ariza - Houston Rockets - $5,400

If LeBron James were playing, then I'd avoid Trevor Ariza. However, since that won't be the case tonight, I really like Ariza's chances for success. The Cleveland Cavaliers have been an average team against SFs this month and are ranked 14th in defensive efficiency against them. Keep in mind that the ranking is mostly due to the presence of James. Without him, Ariza should be able to score between 25-35 fantasy points.

(PF) Kevin Love - Cleveland Cavaliers - $6,900

In the same fashion as the Kyrie Irving selection, the absence of LeBron James increases the upside for Kevin Love tonight. Love scored 48.1 the last time James didn't play and now gets to face the Houston Rockets. Houston, despite playing better defense against PFs this month, is still one of the worst teams at guarding the position. Due to that and Love's boost in usage, the former UCLA star should finish with 35-plus.

(PF) Marvin Williams - Charlotte Hornets - $5,700

After a poor performance in his first game returning from an ankle injury, Marvin Williams got back on track with 37.1 fantasy points in his last game. While I don't expect him to repeat that output against the Philadelphia 76ers tonight, I do feel that he will have a good game. The 76ers are ranked 27th in defensive efficiency against PFs this month and that should lead to a 28-plus night for Williams.

(C) Steven Adams - Oklahoma City Thunder - $4,400

Over his last three games facing the Detroit Pistons, Steven Adams is averaging nearly 22 fantasy points. This includes an output of 27.1 in their last meeting. Adams would be exceeding value if he were to score that against them again tonight and his chances look good. Detroit is ranked next to last in defensive efficiency against centers this month and it bodes well for Adams to score between 20-30 fantasy points.
