Point Guard

Isaiah Thomas $16,750

Isaiah Thomas is an absolute monster, and he can’t be stopped. He has 3 straight games over 50 fantasy points, and will look to make it 3 here against the 76ers. Sergio Rodriguez will look to return tonight, so Thomas will be able to dominate him. Thomas has scored 60 in his last 2, and has shot 18 and 26 times in those games. He holds the ball a ton, and will end up being one of the higher usage PG’s in the league. The 76ers have nobody to cover him, and he will take advantage. His price is fair, and I will continue to target him until his price rises. He can be played in both cash games and tournaments, as his ceiling is high and floor is too.

Austin Rivers $7,800

Chris Paul looks like it might take him a couple more games to return, and Austin Rivers will keep getting the minutes. I have been riding this guy for the past week and half, and he finally paid off. I am right back on him against the Kings, who give it up to the point guard. Darren Collison is a decent man to man defender, but the team defense is bad and they cant stop the ball in transition. Rivers might not be the best, but he can shoot and will go to the rim. He can draw fouls, and usually finds a way to score fantasy points. He is very cheap, and will only need about 22 to hit value. I expect that to be done with ease tonight.

Shooting Guard

James Harden $24,700

Harden has to be mentioned here. He did play a game last night, but he has been one of the only players that has actually been better in back to backs. I don’t know if that is sustainable, but he definitely gets the minutes. He takes on the Magic tonight, who don’t play much perimeter defense, and only have 1 above average interior defender, Serge Ibaka. He will be on the perimeter with Ryan Anderson, which will open up the lane for Harden. He will likely get the defense of Evan Fournier, which is nothing special. Harden has a huge ceiling here, and his floor is right around 50. He is hard to fit in, but can definitely help if you find a way.

Josh Richardson $10,200

Josh Richardson is a really good basketball player, and has shown his ability to do a lot of things on the court. Since returning from injury a few weeks ago, he has averaged 11 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. That’s nothing crazy, but his peripherals are up and he is taking control of the offense more. He may never be a dominant wing, but he is going to be a really productive SG in the NBA. I love him tonight against the Lakers, who could really care less about defense. His floor is low, but just because of how many guards there are. Make sure you keep an eye on the news, and I expect a couple of these guys to miss this game.

Small Forward

LeBron James $22,500

LeBron, Kyrie and Love have all been marked as probable, so I would expect them all to play. They take on the Nets, who play no defense, and play the fastest in the NBA. LeBron will surely take advantage of that, and with no Rondae-Hollis Jefferson, could have a huge game. James has been playing well of late, and this match up sets up perfectly for him. James has also played really well in Brooklyn, where he has averaged 28/11/8. The Nets have never been able to stop him, and that won’t change tonight. Make sure he is playing, but I expect him to.

James Johnson $9,050

James Johnson has always been a guy that comes off the bench for the Raptors and scores 9 fantasy points in 27 minutes. That all changed this year. With the Heat, he is a big part of the offense and is a terrific fantasy point per minute player. Over his last 3 games, he has scored 42, 38 and 36. Sitting at 9k, he is almost a must play. The Lakers are below average against PF’s, which is where he will really play. There is no reason not to plug in Johnson here, unless you just want to be different.

Power Forward

Kevin Love $17,400

K-Love has just been marked probable, so it should be all systems go. He just lost 12 pounds in 2 days with food poisoning, so hopefully he will be a little lighter on his feet. He won’t need it against Trevor Booker, though, as he is plenty slow. Love will be able to run circles around him, and rebounding won’t be a problem either. The Nets have been the 3rd worst team in the league against PF’s, giving up almost 55 fantasy points per game. Love should dominate here, and LeBron is a great guy to pair him with. In the unlikely scenario that this game stays close, you can definitely get a profitable game stack.

Greg Monroe $10,200

Greg Monroe has finally been getting the minutes, and he has produced, like always. This is the second game in a row against the Knicks, and he played extremely well last time out. With over 30 minutes and 30 fantasy points in 3 straight, I would say he is pretty safe. Against the Knicks, he will be needed for size purposes and will once again have his way. His price is fair, and won’t force you to pay down anywhere.

Center

DeMarcus Cousins $21,400

DeMarcus Cousins is probably my personal favorite player in the league outside of LeBron, so I could be a little biased. However, this is a guy I will play every time he is out there. His upside is just so high, and his ownership has been down lately. The 70 point game is going to happen, and it will be soon. There is no reason for me to think it can’t come against the Clippers. If Chris Paul is out like expected, the Kings should control the game, and DeAndre Jordan is nothing to be scared of. Cousins is the best center in basketball, and he is going to dominate whoever the Clippers throw at him.

Marc Gasol $16,100

I don’t think Gasol will be too popular tonight, and I absolutely love him. He can run with the Warriors, and Fizdale won’t pull him for a small ball lineup. That will let him get some easy rebounds, and he will be able to score as well. There is nobody on this team that can stop Gasol, and Pachulia will get embarrassed. Gasol has been one of the better centers this year, and he will keep up this play throughout the year. This is a fun match up for him, as the pace is way up and let’s him play free on offense. He has crazy upside tonight, and I think his floor is around 35. Either way, I will have a lot of exposure to both of these centers.
