Point Guard

Kyrie Irving $16,400

Kyrie has only had two games since returning from injury where you’d be happy with his performance, so that’s not great. However, the thing those two games had in common were that the game stayed close. I expect this one to stay close as well, as the spread is only -6.5. New Orleans has been a phenomenal match-up for opposing point guards all season, allowing the 3rd most fantasy points per game to opposing PG’s. Kyrie will be largely unplayable on these prices in league average match-ups, but the plus match-up makes me think he’ll be nearly chalk tonight.

Raymond Felton $5,550

This one is pretty cut and dry. With Chris Paul out, Felton is going to see a safe 30 minutes. He also has the upside for more, and the points will be there. He handles the ball a ton, which makes him extremely safe for cash games. The Hawks are a good match up, as Dennis Schroder is by no means an above average defender. Felton should be able to grab an easy 25 fantasy points, and the ceiling of 40 is certainly possible. At only 5.5k, Felton is an absolute lock. You can put him into both your cash games and tournaments.

Shooting Guard

Goran Dragic $14,800

Dragic and the Heat will host the Warriors tonight, in what should be a very pace up game for  the Heat. The Warriors play at the 3rd fastest PACE in the NBA, and gives up a lot of transition baskets. That is where Dragic excels, and I could see him having a huge game. He isn’t a true SG, but you can play him here. He will see the defense of Stephen Curry and Shaun Livingston. Livingston will likely do a good job, but Curry doesn’t stand a chance. Dragic will be able to get to the rim with ease, and open shots aren’t hard to come by against the Warriors. Tyler Johnson is out as well, so the minutes and shots are both absolutely secure. If the Heat want to have any chance of hanging around in this one, Dragic better have a good game.

Austin Rivers $7,450

This is basically the same case that I made for Felton. The only real difference here is the upside. Austin Rivers has shown the ability to hit 50 fantasy points. I am not at all saying that happens tonight, but it is always a possibility. Rivers should see at least 30 minutes here, and he matches up great with Kent Bazemore. He is much faster than Bazemore, and should be able to get to the rim. He is not as big of a lock for me as Felton, but I will certainly have a lot of exposure to him. He will be one of my highest owned players in tournaments.

Small Forward

Giannis Antetokounmpo $23,250

This really just comes down to Harden vs. Giannis. I think the bulk of the field goes Harden today, and I prefer Giannis. The Bucks will receive the PACE jump, as the Rockets are a considerably faster team, ranking 5th in the NBA. Antetokounmpo is also cheaper, and at a position that has less depth. The match up is terrific for Giannis as I see them putting Trevor Ariza on him to start. Ariza used to be a very solid defender, but is a little too slow now to stay with Antetokounmpo. I will have Giannis in most of my cash games and tournaments. With that said, there is nothing wrong with James Harden tonight.

Sam Dekker $6,250

This is pretty straightforward. He is seeing the minutes, and producing at an incredible rate. The Bucks also have the tendency to play a small at the 4, which could force Dekker onto the court for even more minutes. Ryan Anderson will miss this game, and the coaching staff has been praising Dekker all week long. He has 43 and 29 in his last 2 games, and I don’t think either one was a fluke. Jump on this guy before his price is over 9k. He will see a lot of Greg Monroe and Jabari Parker, who are both way too big to stay with him on the perimeter.

Power Forward

Anthony Davis $19,300

There are a lot of ways to pay down tonight, which means you should be able to pay up rather easily. Davis has shown his ability to win the slate by himself, and I don’t think this a match up that hurts him. Sure, the Cavaliers are an exceptional team defense. However, they do give it up the the 4, and AD is not the average player. He will obliterate K-Love down low, and anyone else they try to stop him with. This is a game I do like stacking, as the stars have a ton of potential if it stays close and fast paced. Davis will be in most of my tournaments and cash games.

Jabari Parker $14,900

While Dekker has the advantage over Parker on offense, it certainly goes the other way too. Parker will be able to body Dekker down low, and the points should flow in early. The Rockets will likely adjust as the game progresses, but he will be already on his way to a solid game. He may see some Montrezl Harrell or Trevor Ariza, but I still think he will be able to execute on both of them. He has shown tremendous upside this year, so can be played in both formats.

Center

David Lee $6,550

No way I don’t have a lot of exposure to this guy tonight. Lee has been phenomenal since Gasol got hurt, hitting 6x and 7.5x value in the last 2 games. I see no reason he doesn’t do the same, especially against the Nets. The Nets are the worst defense in the NBA, and they also play at the fastest pace. He will see a lot of Brook Lopez tonight, who we all know is by no means a good defender. Lee should be in for an easy double double tonight, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him destroy value once again. David Lee will be my highest owned center in both cash games and tournaments.
