Lee Westwood Lurks in Erin Hills Long Fescue Rough at 2017 US Open

By Anthony Blake

News came down yesterday that the USGA had decided to cut down the long fescue on four holes at Erin Hills prior to the start of the 2017 US Open.

They say this was not in response to criticism from players such as Kevin Na in his whiny video of a practice round, but it’s hard not to think it played a role.

But perhaps the worst part of this trimming is that they have destroyed some of the natural habitat of the elusive Lee Westwood.

The rough is really thick this week just off the edge of the fairway! 😂😂😂#usopen

This clip totally feels like a nature documentary searching for that endangered animal and finally spotting it as it emerges right in front of your face.

Though behavior like this with patrons on the premises could lead to a coronary if an unsuspecting fan was caught off guard.
