For six consecutive seasons, the Red Sox dominated local cable and satellite ratings in Major League Baseball. NESN was a gold mine and Sox games were among the most watched cable events in New England. In 2010, cable and satellite ratings for Red Sox games dropped by a whopping 38% to just a 5.9 rating. Thanks to an injury-plagued and frustrating season, Boston has fallen out of the top 5 for the first time since 2003… The St. Louis Cardinals are your new number one on TV.
