Cubs Trammell Gone and Ryno Not Expected to Join the Staff

Well, the Chicago Cubs continue to make headlines in terms of their coaches this off season. ESPN is reporting that former bench coach Alan Trammell is taking the same job with the Arizona Diamondbacks. ESPN also reported in the same story that Ryne Sandberg will not join Mike Quade’s staff in any capacity in 2011, according to a random source. Not a big shocker there, but it still hurts the same way to not see Ryno doning the Cubby blue once again. I’m more interested in why Alan Trammell won’t be back. He played a huge development role for Starlin Castro last year, so seeing him leave is definitely disappointing.
