Detroit Tigers Know the Right Way to Deal with Competitors Win Streak

The Detroit Tigers are doing a great job of trying to send the Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Royals to the doctor. The two closest competitors to the Tigers have to be talking to themselves right now. They have both just come off of great winning streaks and have won nine of their last ten games. What have the Tigers done? Oh they’ve only won eight straight games and nine of their last ten as well. It is the best way I know for a team to deal with winning streaks by their competitors.

I guess when you know how to win you just know how to win. The Tigers have added the pieces they needed to add. Their bullpen is much stronger than it was before the trade deadline and they even have a player in position to possibly make up for the loss of one of theirs going down soon if that happens to occur. I don’t know if they did the best of anyone at the MLB trade deadline but as far as filling the needs that they had, I’m not sure they could have done any better.

That’s why they are winning games right along with the Royals and the Indians. For those two teams to catch the Tigers they’ll just have to win twenty in a row instead of ten. It’s that simple. If all continues like it is the American League Central could end up being represented well in the post season if both wildcard teams came from there. The A.L. is much more competitive than the National League in the wildcard category however. So let those other teams win as many games as they want to. As long as the Tigers match them win for win, they’re bound to fight for a wildcard.
