Miami Marlins’ Mike Redmond has Great Outlook on the MLB PED Scandal

On some level I’m sure that most Major League Baseball fans both are sick of the PED scandal and are glad that the league is finally dealing with it. Miami Marlins manager Mike Redmond spoke out recently and had a lot to say. The best thing he said was basically that he was hoping this would end it and MLB could move on from the PED scandal. I couldn’t agree with him more.

Redmond played during some of that same time frame when the PED questions first arose. The game we all loved grew to something with an asterisk by everything and we have never gotten totally back where we were since. With the current PED mess, it seems that MLB is finally getting tough enough to suspend a ton of people. Redmond hopes this will end it and I hope the same right along with him.

This time the players themselves are angry and the offending players because it is time for everyone to have the same chance at success without a few getting a little push from drugs. I hate thinking of my favorite player in the big leagues right now and wondering if he is legit or if he uses PEDs and hasn’t gotten caught yet.

In the months to come we’ll see if Redmond gets his wish along with the rest of us and this PED mess stops dead where it is. We shouldn’t have to read or hear about it anymore once this round is over and like Redmond said, we can them focus on the races and the upcoming stars of baseball instead of PEDs.
