Kansas City Royals Fans Boo Ned Yost After Questionable Pitching Change
The Kansas City Royals are more than hungry for a postseason win after 29 long years. Up 3-2 in the top of the sixth inning, it seemed like KC was possibly on track for that long-awaited playoff win.
But things changed in an instant on Brandon Moss‘ second HR of the night. The disturbing part of it all is that, right before Moss’ bomb, Royals manager Ned Yost relieved starter James Shields with rookie Yordano Ventura. That worked out well.
Royals fans let Yost know they didn’t like his decision to go with Ventura when he came to the mound to get the rookie, and certainly weren’t pleased when the rookie proceeded to allow a two-run shot.

Ventura better against LH (.642 OPS) than RH (.705) this season. But Yost had numerous options preferable to using rookie starter in relief. — Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) October 1, 2014
If the Royals don’t come back, and they’re now down 7-3, Yost might be chased out of Kansas City.
