Apparently, the Baltimore Orioles are already regretting the multi-year deal they signed one-time star Ubaldo Jimenez to just one year ago. He's reportedly on the trading block, and there are several teams mildly interested. These five teams could make the biggest pitch for the high-upside veteran.

If the New York Yankees actually do stick to their plan of staying low key this offseason, a deal for Jimenez could make a lot of sense. They can afford to pay his bloated salary, and he would make a good addition to the back end of their rotation. They have a couple young pitching prospects the Orioles are sure to be interested in as well.

Even though they've been linked mostly to hitters this offseason, making a deal for Jimenez could benefit the up-and-coming Seattle Mariners greatly. As long as the Orioles ate some of his contract, they may be willing to take a chance on the pitcher, who may still have a few good years left in them.

Believe it or not, the Cleveland Indians could be interested in bringing back their former pitcher. They want to get rid of OF Nick Swisher, so swapping bad contracts could make a lot of sense. Since they need to add a starter or two, this move could kill two birds with one stone.

If the Pittsburgh Pirates lose Edinson Volquez and Francisco Liriano to free agency this offseason, they are going to really have to search hard for rotation help, which could come in the form of Jimenez. They have plenty of young prospects who are stuck behind young emerging stars already in the pros, so they can afford to trade for him. Even though it would be an under-the-radar move, it could really help keep them competitive in 2015.

Everyone knows how great Madison Bumgarner is for the San Francisco Giants, but they need more depth. With Matt Cain having questionable health, they need to add rotation help. Getting Jimenez for a couple mid-level prospects could make a lot of sense for the defending champs.
