After four straight losing seasons, the Colorado Rockies now find themselves in the cellar of the NL West once again with a current record of 28-36. Nevertheless, the Rockies do have a few players who are having very nice years. So, without further ado, here are five guys who are deserving of representing Colorado at this year's MLB All-Star Game in Cincinnati.

5. Nick Hundley, C

In his first season with the Rockies, catcher Nick Hundley is hitting .294/.339/.447 with a 101 wRC+. His 1.0 fWAR also ranks sixth among all NL catchers. While the starting honor will likely go to Yadier Molina or Buster Posey, one could argue that Hundley deserves to have a spot on the squad.

4. John Axford, RHP

Once an elite-caliber closer with the Milwaukee Brewers, John Axford has bounced around and struggled quite a bit over the past couple of years, but he seems to have finally rediscovered his past dominance in Colorado. The right-hander is currently 1-0 with a 0.47 ERA and 12 saves in as many opportunities. If he does earn a trip to the All-Star game, it will be for the very first time in his career.

3. DJ LeMahieu, 2B

Fresh off of a Gold Glove-award winning campaign, DJ LeMahieu seems to have taken his offensive game up a notch this season, and he is currently slashing .332/.378/.432 with a 109 wRC+. There are quite a few other NL second basemen who are having nice years, such as Dee Gordon and Joe Panik, but LeMahieu is certainly having an All-Star-type first half in his own right.

2. Troy Tulowitzki, SS

Although he may not be having his best year, Troy Tulowitzki is still slashing .300/.332/.479 with a 104 wRC+, which is pretty nice production from a shortstop. Jhonny Peralta may be more deserving of being the NL's starting shortstop this season, and he is currently the leading vote getter for that position, but Tulowitzki should still have a solid chance to make the team.

1. Nolan Arenado, 3B

After winning a Gold Glove award in each of the past two seasons, Nolan Arenado's bat seems to be catching up to his defense -- just like LeMahieu. Not that his offense before was anything to sneeze at, but the 24-year-old seems to have found a new level this year. Arenado has smacked 16 long balls already, putting him on pace for a 30-plus homer campaign. He deserves to make his first All-Star team this year.
