5 Chicago White Sox Who Must Be Dealt Before the 2015 Trade Deadline

The Chicago White Sox are in the midst of another losing season and the outlook for the remainder of the season is not looking good. However, the Chicago White Sox could build on the future by trading away some of their Major League talent currently on the roster. Their farm system is not too deep so loading up on young talent is a must for the rebuilding process.

Out of all players mentioned on this list, Samardzija would bring back the biggest return in terms of prospects. He came over from the Oakland A's in the offseason and has not had the best season so far, which could hurt his potential value. Samardzija currently holds a 4-4 record with a 4.84 ERA but hasn't exactly had tons of run support. A contending team would love to add a potential impact player like Samardzija down the stretch.

Adam LaRoche is a power bat who could help contending teams as either a 1B, DH or even a bench bat. The return might not high considering LaRoche has struggled this season, only hitting .230 and striking out 70 times. He has launched eight homers on the season to go along with 24 RBIs. Power bats will always be of value to contenders as they could help launch a team to the postseason.

Scott Carroll could attract some contenders as a bullpen addition when the trade deadline comes around. The right-hander holds a 3.12 ERA in 17.1 IP this season with seven strikeouts. Carroll also has versatility in the sense that he could be a middle reliever in a team's bullpen or a long man as he started 19 games last season for the White Sox.

Alexei Ramirez is on the last guaranteed year of his current contract as the White Sox hold a $10 million club option for next season. The White Sox would be better off trading Ramirez and restocking their farm systems. Teams who are looking for an upgrade at SS could come calling about Ramirez. A team like the New York Mets could use a guy like Ramirez as their middle infield needs to be upgraded if they look to make a playoff run.

John Danks should not be moved because of solid performances this season, something he hasn't produced. The reason Danks should be traded is because of a combination of bad performances and a bad contract. He has struggled this season pitching to a 3-7 record with a 5.16 ERA in the White Sox rotation. A team could take a chance on Danks hoping a change of scenery will do him good.
