Even though they’ve faltered as of late, the Minnesota Twins have been one of baseball’s biggest surprises this season. If they are to continue as contenders for the rest of the season, these five players who have had big first halves will need to continue contributing. Before that happens in the second half, all five deserve consideration for inclusion in the All-Star Game.

Byron Buxton is in line to be a top Gold Glove candidate as a rookie, and he started to prove his worthiness immediately with a leaping catch for the Minnesota Twins' first out of the 2016 season.
Byron Buxton's offense is a work in progress at the major league level, but he again proved his defense is top caliber with a fantastic diving catch on Thursday.
