During the Chicago Cubs‘ 6-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 2 of the best-of-five NLDS on Saturday, Cardinals pinch-hitter Randal Grichuk hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning. While pinch-hit home runs are certainly impressive, his blast only cut the score from a four-run Cardinals’ deficit to three. Even still, Grichuk came out to the top step to give a curtain call to the fans.
During tonight’s Game 3, Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber smashed a solo home run to left-center to put his team ahead 1-0. Following the home run, the Cubs’ Twitter account trolled the Cardinals’ page, and it was glorious:
Wait were we supposed to give @kschwarb12 a curtain call? @Cardinals?

What a perfect way to taunt your biggest division rivals.
