Bryce. Harper. Is. Only. 23. Years. Old. That simple fact makes this news that much more amazing: Harper was named the NL MVP.

Let’s let Harper’s stats do all of the talking: .330 BA, 42 HRs, 99 RBIs.

Harper, of course, entered this league with a ton of hype, and he ended up smashing 22 home runs in his first year in MLB. Going back to 2014, when Harper only played in 100 games, he also only had 13 HRs and a .273 BA. The hype surrounding the youngster was starting to die down some, but he clearly did not give up on himself — why would he?

Harper returned this year — obviously determined (and healthy) — and became one of the best players in baseball. According to the MVP Award, he is the best player in the NL, and I am certainly not going to argue against that one.

Harper is freakishly young, yet he is already freakishly good. Now, if only the Washington Nationals could get going. The Nationals entered the season with plenty of buzz, but finished with a record of 83-79. Of course, that was not good enough to make the playoffs.

Nonetheless, this is Harper’s day … or should I say Mr. MVP’s day.

Here’s to many more successful years for the 23-year-old.

Nationals' Harper Demolishes Homer In First At-Bat Of Season

If the Washington Nationals are going to make the playoffs in 2016, Bryce Harper is going to have to repeat his 2015 performance. Things got off to a great start for Harper on Opening Day as he launched a home run off of Atlanta Braves starter Julio Teheran in his first at-bat.
