Bryce Harper Inks New Deal with Nationals, Hits Walk-off HR to Celebrate

Saturday was a good day in the life of Bryce Harper, as the Washington Nationals paid their star handsomely while he repaid that gesture in customary fashion.

And by that, clearly it’s only a routine thing if you’re an MLB slugger and can hit the ball over the wall on a regular basis.

New contract and a #walkoff homer? That’s a nice little Saturday for @Bharper3407.

This bomb came in the bottom of the ninth with two outs and two on against the Philadelphia Phillies, as Harper showed he’s worth every penny of his new one-year, $21.65 million deal.

He may have actually confirmed the notion that he’ll be getting the richest contract in baseball history sometime next year as well.
