Pirates & Cardinals Participate in Handshake Line After Little League Classic

By Anthony Blake

It’s common practice for Little Leaguers to exchange handshakes after a game, so the MLB players in Williamsport for the Little League Classic decided to follow suit.

The Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals played in an historic event at the site of the Little League World Series and offered a great gesture of sportsmanship in celebration of the game.

“Good game. Good game. Good game …” It really was. #MLBLittleLeagueClassic

Just watching these guys give respect in a handshake line makes them all seem like big kids getting to play a game for a living.

This is a terrific way to grow the game of baseball and connect fans to the players on the highest level.
