CM Punk has been in the news for the past three weeks after breaking his near-year silence on why he left wrestling. He said he was hurt, and he felt like he was being taken advantage of. Not two weeks later, it was announced that Punk had signed with UFC to be an MMA star. But this may not work out as well as they think. Here are five main reasons why.

Dana White is the man in the UFC. He doesn't deal with anything except perfection. He is outspoken, and is a force to be reckoned with when he is mad. Punk is also outspoken, as the world has seen throughout his career. This could end in some explosions if they disagree with some bookings.

UFC has done everything it can to show that it is one of the hardest feats in all of sports. To be able to scratch, claw and fight for up to 15 minutes is a different kind of athletic; to have someone signed to a multi-match contract without ever having an organized match. That probably makes a lot of up-and-comers mad. If it goes bad, it could hurt UFC's credibility.

Every single main act in the UFC is going to want to take out the new acquisition. CM Punk is going to bring a large payout, as well as a ton of new eyes to MMA. That means some of the UFC's best will want a piece of him. Expect Punk to have a rough time in his first match, similar to Brock Lesnar in his first match against Frank Mir.

Unlike when Punk went to WWE, he is 100 percent unproven. He wasn't fighting in underground MMA organizations. He doesn't have years of experience. There is not one person in the UFC with less experience than CM Punk.

If CM Punk goes to the UFC and becomes champion, then this will work out perfectly. If he goes to UFC and gets his butt whipped, then he can't come back from that. He can't boast that he is the best in the world, if it is clear that he isn't. Eventually, people will stop caring if Punk doesn't win. That will cost Punk a lot of money if he ever decides to come back to the job that made him famous.
