The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is at the Kansas Speedway this week for the STP400.

Matt Kenseth broke last year’s track record and will start the race from the pole position.  Matt isn’t used to getting the pole as this is only his ninth all time.  Matt’s team selected the no. 1 pit stall as most all pole winners do.  Matt has only had that stall a few times and normally pits at the totally opposite end of pit road at the entrance from turn four. Watch to see if Matt can take advantage of the change or if it messes his pit stops up.

Martin Truex Jr. finished both races at Kansas second last year.  Watch to see if he can improve on that.

Jeff Gordon hit the wall in qualifying and will start the race 43rd.  He had to use a provisional in order to make the race.  Watch to see if he can drive up through the field and recover a decent finish or win the race.  Jeff Gordon is currently 15th in the standings and needs to improve or win if he is to make the Chase.

Elliott Sadler will return to the Cup Series in the Joe Gibbs Racing #81 in a one race deal with Alert Energy Caffeine Gum.  Watch to see if Elliott can get a great run in his first Cup start in a JGR car.

Swan Racing, Roush Fenway Racing, and Michael Waltrip Racing will be honoring those involved in the Boston Marathon Bombings with special decals and paint schemes.

If you cannot get to Kansas Speedway the race will be televised on FOX on Sunday, April 21st at 12:30 PM ET.
