Name: Nemanja Nedovic
Age: 21 (will be 22 by draft)
Position: Point Guard
School/Country: Lietuvos Rytas (Serbia)
Latest Stats: 9.8 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.1 apg
Nemanja Nedovic is an experienced international prospect, so his draft potential is more about what he can contribute right away, not so much down the line. Nedovic stands at 6-foot-4 and he has played both the point and shooting guard positions during his professional career overseas. Nedovic is a Serbian native, but he last played for Lietuvous Rytas in Lithuania.
Nedovic will be listed more so as a point guard in the 2013 NBA Draft and at 6-foot-4, that’s a good thing. Nedovic has plenty of experience having played overseas for a number years prior to now and he has the ability to hit shots from the outside, as well as go off the dribble and get to the rim.
Nedovic is not a guaranteed draft selection, but he could hear his name called anywhere from the mid-to-late portion of the second round.
Strengths: Nedovic has good size for the point guard position at 6-foot-4 and he can shoot the ball decently well. Nedovic has a number of years of professional experience under his belt, so he’s not going to be phased very much by the increase in competition. Nedovic has excellent ball handling skills and a great vision of the court.
Weaknesses: Nedovic has fit the mold of a true combo guard during his time overseas and although he can handle the ball and see the court well, he needs to refine his point guard skills a bit more. Nedovic needs to be able to handle quicker, more athletic guards in the NBA and that could be a challenge. Nedovic has a decent stroke from the outside, but he will need to shoot the basketball at a higher percentage if he hopes to make a roster spot.
Draft Projection: Late Second Round
