Jamal Olasewere‘s four year career at Long Island has come to a close, but it was certainly a memorable one. Olasewere was part of a mini-dynasty at LIU, qualifying for three consecutive NCAA Tournaments during his collegiate career. In addition to that, Olasewere emerged as the team’s star, especially after averaging 18.9 points and 8.6 rebounds per game this past season.

Olasewere has good size at 6-foot-7 and he loves to get out and run in transition. Long Island features an up-tempo, high-octane offense and Olasewere ended up being the perfect fit for that type of system. There’s no telling where Olasewere’s professional career is going, but he shouldn’t have any trouble finding a contract, whether it’s in the U.S. or overseas. He’s an NBA Draft hopeful, but Olasewere isn’t a name that you’re going to expect to hear called on draft night.

Strengths: Olasewere shines in an up-tempo game and his career numbers and improvements are a clear indication of that. At 6-foot-7, Olasewere has good size for the small forward position and he loves to attack the rim and get to the free throw line. Olasewere has always been a productive rebounder, in addition to his offensive firepower.

Weaknesses: Olasewere has impressive numbers, but they came within the Northeast Conference. He needs to improve on his outside shooting and take advantage of his ability to get to the rim more.

Draft Projection: Undrafted
