It’s extremely possible. The Magic could use help at guard and it’s still looking like Ben McLemore will be their first pick.
The Magic won’t be picking until No. 51 for their next selection and it’s anyone’s guess who might be selected. If Lorenzo Brown of North Carolina State is available, the Magic should give him a very good look. Scouts are divided on his NBA value but if he is still around, the Magic would be foolish not to select him.
He has good size for his position and averaged more than seven assists per game this season. He averaged 12.4 points and 4.3 rebounds an outing. In 34.2 minutes per game, the 6-foot-5 guard shot 41.9 percent from the floor and 26.3 percent in threes, which are a couple of figures that don’t impress scouts, but he shot 77.1 percent from the free-throw line.
The Magic need some depth at the guard position and they’ll get it from Brown. He might not be a starter right away but he would give the Magic key minutes at that spot. His playmaking abilities are extremely attractive and he’s the type of player that can get the offense going from off the bench.
It’s hard to say if Brown will be available at 51, but the Magic need to keep an eye on him. His can give the team plenty of help if they decide to put him on their roster.
