Chicago Bulls vs. Miami Heat: Last Two MVPs In NBA Will Face Off In Season Opener
The schedules for the 2013-14 NBA season were released today and there are some very intriguing matchups ahead of us. For instance, the last two MVPs will face off in the season opener to tip off the year.
Although most of the talk will be about Derrick Rose making his comeback–finally–both teams will want the victory just as bad as the other one.
For the Heat, they are coming off of two NBA titles in a row and you can bet that they will be just as poised to win a third straight. LeBron James and company will have huge targets on their backs–as usual–and the rest of the teams in the Eastern Conference will be giving their best efforts on every single night.
Who knows if Rose will comeback at full strength, but he was the last person to win the MVP–before James won two in a row that is. He was also the player who broke up James’ two MVP awards in a row before this last streak. Basically, James has won the MVP award four times in the last five years.
Whether the case, this will be a great matchup to tip off the season.
Although it is not likely to happen, I am sure capturing the all time record for the most wins in a regular season is on Miami’s mind, and I am sure the Bulls think they can hang with the two-time defending national champs.
Ladies and gentleman, this is just the first game of the regular season for these two teams. Yeah, we are in store for a great year in the NBA.
