Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose Playing Like He Never Left
Another preseason game down, another win for these Chicago Bulls. This exhibition season for the Bulls is feeling a little different this time around. They have their leader and MVP back, Derrick Rose, and he’s playing like a man on a mission.
The Bulls and the Indiana Pacers just squared off at the United Center for a ho-hum preseason game, but the atmosphere felt like a playoff game. The crowd was in a frenzy all night, cheering their hometown Bulls. Rose did not disappoint the crowd. He played his most efficient and best game by far this preseason. He wanted to make sure everybody was put on notice by scoring 32 points and dishing out 9 assists. He tallied 31 minutes, which to some fans might be too much for a game like this, but coach Tom Thibodeau wanted his starters to get that feeling of regular minutes again. Both teams had their starters out on the floor in the final minutes.
Rose’s play the last few games has been very inspiring. He is attacking and getting his swagger back to the point that we should not be worried about that knee. He is growing so much confidence with each preseason game that he plays. The more reps he is getting with his team, the more prepared the Bulls will be throughout the regular season.
Bulls’ fans are really feeling something special developing this preseason. The team is loaded with talent and depth. They have the coaching, the experience and the confidence going into this season. The players know they will need their top guy at his best to really contend. This game proved that Rose is back and better than ever.
