The NBA has been getting a bunch of buzz this offseason. Most of that has to deal with things like LeBron James switching teams and other free agency moves. LeBron returning to Cleveland changes the landscape in the East to say the least. With that, we look at the 10 best scoring duos heading into the 2014-15 NBA season.

This is subject to change. After all, Kevin Love still could bolt to the Bulls or the Cavaliers.

10. Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis

Combined Points Per Game in 2013-14: 40.7

These two stars will put up great numbers in the scoring department once again. Ellis has found a great home in Dallas and Nowitzki has been a very productive player for a long time now. The best part is the fact that Chandler Parsons is joining the team in 2014.

9. DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry

These two players went off in the 2013-14 season. Not only will they be one of the best scoring duos again, but they will help make the Toronto Raptors one of the best teams in the East.

8. Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade

Combined Points Per Game in 2013-14: 35.2

Okay, let me explain. Chris Bosh is the man in Miami now, which means he will be counted on to lead the team in the scoring department. Not to mention, Wade is coming off of a very productive season and will also have to step up thanks to LeBron going back to Cleveland.

7. DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay

DeMarcus Cousins is a beast, plain and simple. He is taking steps in the right direction and (hopefully) it is just a matter of time before he leads Sacramento to the playoffs. Rudy Gay always puts up good scoring numbers. No matter what happens with the Kings in 2014, the two will definitely not lack in the scoring department.

6. John Wall and Bradley Beal

Sure, John Wall and Bradley Beal aren’t the highest scorer duo on this list, but both players are young and are only going to get better and better.

5. LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard

LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard are two completely different players, which is why they are so good together.

4. Chris Paul and Blake Griffin

Lob City starts and ends with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Not only is this one of the best duos in the league, it is also one of the most exciting ones to watch.

3. James Harden and Dwight Howard

Another duo that consists of two players who are completely different from one another. Houston has a very good thing going for it right now.

2. LeBron James and Kyrie Irving

These two haven’t actually played together yet, but come on, it’s LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. LeBron will be one of the top scorers in the league once again and he will make everyone around him a whole lot better. Even Irving.

This was the highest scoring duo in the league this past season. That will likely stay the case in 2014. However, Love joining Cleveland or Chicago could change that.
