The Miami Heat have several gaping holes in terms of depth in their roster. The guard position, for one, has been atrocious this season outside of Dwyane Wade, so this is obviously a need that has to be filled before the deadline on Feb. 19. This is just one of many examples for this below .500 team that is still attempting to make the playoffs. Here are five last minute trades the Miami Heat should consider before the 2015 deadline.

5. Jeremy Lin

Although Jeremy Lin’s contract is rather large this season, what makes him an interesting trade option is his expiring contract next season. The Heat could unload players like Norris Cole or Mario Chalmers in an attempt to save cap space for the summer of 2016. Also, Lin is averaging 10.4 points, 4.7 assists and 2.5 rebounds. This is better than the combined efforts of both Norris Cole and Shabazz Napier this season. Lin would be a huge upgrade.

4. Arron Afflalo

Arron Afflalo would be the perfect complement to Dwyane Wade off the bench for the Miami Heat. Although Afflalo is currently the starting shooting guard for the Denver Nuggets, the Heat could potentially give him enough minutes off the bench to compensate for not being in the starting lineup. Afflalo could also play some minutes at the point guard position, as the Heat currently weak at that position.

3. Miles Plumlee

The Heat have been linked to rumors in regards to trading Chris “Birdman” Andersen, so what better way to keep your front court rotation sizable while also getting younger than by trading for Phoenix Suns center Miles Plumlee? Although Plumlee is having a down season, the Heat could potentially pry away the rarely used center from the Suns by packaging a deal of Andersen and future second round pick.

2. Reggie Jackson

Reggie Jackson is on every team in the NBA’s wish list that needs a shooting guard -- he has been that good this season. Averaging 13.4 points, 4.4 assists and 4.1 rebounds a game, Jackson is the perfect guard to have as a starter, or even off the bench. If the Heat were to acquire Jackson via trade, he would most likely become the starting point guard over Mario Chalmers.

1. Mo Williams

Mo Williams tops this list as the No. 1 player the Miami Heat should trade for. The Minnesota Timberwolves aren’t asking for a lot in return, and Williams contract isn’t that large, coming in at .75 million for one year. The Heat could use a veteran presence at the point guard position considering how horrible all three point guards for the Heat have been this season. His 12.6 points and 6.4 assists would be a welcome addition to the guard.
