Making his first career All-Star Game appearance, Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson will likely be looking to make a name for himself during this year’s game. Just a few weeks removed from his record-setting 37 point third quarter against the Sacramento Kings, Thompson will certainly be given the green light in this game by his head coach, and the head coach of the Western Conference, Steve Kerr.

Heading into the 2015 NBA All-Star Game, Carmelo Anthony and his New York Knicks are not where they had hope to be at the beginning of the season. But with the All-Star Game taking place on the Knicks’ home court, look for Anthony to light up the scoreboard and put on a show for the home crowd.

During the 2014 NBA All-Star Game, Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers recorded 31 points, 14 assists and five rebounds on the way to being named the game’s MVP. Irving has been hot as of late, including a career-high 55 point performance at the end of January. Irving will look to expand on his recent hot stretch in this year’s All-Star Game in an attempt to take home a second consecutive All-Star Game MVP Award.

The NBA All-Star Game is tailor-made for a player like James Harden. In a game that encourages its participants to hoist as many shots as they possibly can, and also features very little to no defense at all, Harden will excel. This year he is in the running for the NBA’s regular season MVP Award. Come the 2015 All-Star Game, Harden will find himself in the running for the game’s MVP Award as well.
