The Orlando Magic fired third-year head coach Jacque Vaughn early Thursday Morning. The move comes as no surprise with the Magic on a 10-game losing streak and several reports over the past couple weeks that the front office was becoming increasingly displeased with the team’s performance. Here are the top five potential candidates to replace Vaughn as the Magic head coach.

With a career 1,131-756 record, Karl is seventh on the all-time NBA coaching wins list. The 25-year coaching veteran was most recently fired as head coach of the Denver Nuggets following the 2012-13 season, despite a 57-25 record. Karl has voiced his desire to return to the bench having said in January, “I’m ready. I’ve got a lot of energy, lot of passion.”

The University of Florida coach has a history with the Magic. In June 2007, coming off a national championship victory with the Gators, Donovan agreed to accept the Magic’s contract offer, which was reportedly worth $ 27.5 million over five years. After holding an introductory press conference in Orlando and a farewell press conference in Gainesville on the same day, Donovan informed the Magic he had changed his mind and would return to Florida.

Whenever any NBA head coaching job has opened up over the last several years, Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg is one of the first names mentioned. The former NBA sharpshooter has repeatedly stated his commitment to staying at Iowa State, but it would come as no surprise to see Hoiberg make the jump to the sport’s highest level soon.

Jackson was fired as the Golden State Warriors‘ head coach this past offseason after three successful years at the helm. The popular ESPN broadcaster led the Warriors to the second round of the playoffs in 2013, and in 2014 he guided Golden State to their first 50-plus win season since 1994. Despite being the franchise’s most successful coach in a couple of decades, Warriors management parted ways with Jackson due to a souring relationship.

Skiles is a 13-year coaching veteran who played five seasons with the Magic during his playing days in the early 1990s. The 50-year-old most recently coached the Milwaukee Bucks from 2009-13, a job he resigned from after 32 games during the 2012-13 season. Although he’s compiled a winning record of 443-433 over his coaching career with the Bucks, Phoenix Suns and Chicago Bulls, Skiles’ teams have managed to win just one playoff series.
