2015 NBA Draft: 5 Best Fits For the Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings have a few interesting pieces on their roster, most notably DeMarcus Cousins. They have two more years to make it work with him before he becomes a free agent, so hitting on their draft picks is a must. They have a 6.8 percent chance of getting the top pick, but it's more likely they will be picking No. 6 in the draft. Here are five players who would be a great fit for them in the first round.

5. Stanley Johnson, SF, Arizona

Potential will be the common word that comes up when describing Stanley Johnson. His offensive game is a work in progress, but he should be able to make an immediate impact on defense. Johnson will be able to guard most power forwards, which would let them play him alongside Rudy Gay. He has a chance to be one of the best players in the class if he develops a consistent outside shot.

4. D'Angelo Russell, PG/SG, Ohio State

One of the major gripes that DeMarcus Cousins' supporters have about his situation is that the Kings have a different point guard every year. D'Angelo Russell isn't a prototypical point guard, but he has the playmaking ability to be a difference maker in the NBA. His game blends well with the Kings' roster because they have the ability to surround him with shooters. Russell could finally give them some stability at point guard.

3. Justise Winslow, SF, Duke

Justise Winslow saw his draft stock rise during Duke's run to the NCAA championship. Some people think he is even worthy of being the top pick in the draft. Based on roster construction he might not be the most obvious pick, but his talent overrides that. Winslow is versatile enough to where they could use him as the primary ball handler for certain stretches.

2. Emmanuel Mudiay, PG, China

Emmanuel Mudiay is the great unknown in this draft class. He decided to play overseas rather than play in college. Physically, Mudiay fits the mold of the new-age point. He is 6-foot-5 and lightning quick with above average playmaking skills. There is a risk with him because of the lack of game tape, but he does a lot of the things the Kings need help with.

Willie Cauley-Stein would be a great fit to go alongside DeMarcus Cousins in the Kings' frontcourt. Cauley-Stein would help erase some of the deficiencies that Cousins has on the defensive end. His defensive ability would be a breath of fresh air for Kings fans. He isn't the most polished player on offense, but scoring is far from the biggest need for Sacramento.

DeMarcus Cousins Puts Gordon Hayward On Skates With Crossover

Sure, the Utah Jazz ultimately went on to defeat the Sacramento Kings by a score of 108-99, but that doesn't mean we can't laugh at Gordon Hayward for getting crossed over by DeMarcus Cousins. Wing players simply can't let big men make them look athletically inferior, which is undoubtedly what happened on this play. Hayward didn't have a clue.

DeMarcus Cousins Nearly Pulverizes Steven Adams With Haymaker

Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams ought to be counting his blessings right now, as he essentially dodged a bullet on Monday night. Adams got locked up with Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins, who nearly lost his cool. Cousins began to swing a devastating haymaker that would have pulverized Adams into oblivion, but thankfully thought twice about it at the last second.

Sacramento Kings' DeMarcus Cousins Chucks Ball At Chris Paul

DeMarcus Cousins didn't do anything wrong on this play, per se, but he undoubtedly made sure to put some extra mustard on the toss. I mean, look at his face! Chris Paul handled it correctly by not turning it into a big thing, but he couldn't have been incredibly pleased.
