Denver Nuggets Rumors: Melvin Hunt’s Chances Of Remaining Head Coach Are Looking Good

The Denver Nuggets could use a ton of help in this summer’s draft and in free agency. First, making a final decision on a head coach should probably be priority No. 1. Luckily for Melvin Hunt, he seems to have a great shot of taking over for good.

That said, Mike D’Antoni is the much bigger name. How many times have teams brought in the bigger name over the smaller name? Answer: So many times.

Although Hunt didn’t lead the Nuggets to the playoffs in his short stint as interim coach, he did lead them to a 10-13 record. Considering the team was already an extreme long shot to make the playoffs at the time of his takeover, that’s not too bad.

Scott Brooks was the biggest name on the market, but apparently the Denver head coaching job isn’t all that appealing to him (can you blame him?).

While the search for Denver continues and the odds seem to be in Hunt’s favor, at least Nuggets fans can be happy about their high draft pick in this summer’s, well, draft. Pick No. 7 is what the fans and Denver are looking at right now.

Grizzlies' Chalmers Takes Cheap Shot At Nurkic

Since arriving in the NBA as a rookie out of Kansas, Mario Chalmers has had a tough road to climb as he's never really gotten a true opportunity to be the top guy. Now with Memphis, he's had an opportunity to start a few games with Mike Conley battling a back injury, but he shows in this video that he's still too immature to take advantage.
