Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets – Game 4 (Warriors lead series 3-0)
Game Time, TV: Monday, May 25, 2015 – 9:00 PM ET on ESPN
Projected Starting Lineups:
Golden State Warriors: PG: Stephen Curry, SG: Klay Thompson, SF: Harrison Barnes, PF: Draymond Green, C: Andrew Bogut
Houston Rockets: PG: Jason Terry, SG: James Harden, SF: Trevor Ariza, PF: Terrence Jones, C: Dwight Howard
The Houston Rockets will fight to keep their season alive when they play host to the Golden State Warriors on Monday evening.
The Rockets face a tremendous uphill battle after suffering a blowout loss in Game 3. Their isolation heavy offense sputtered to a halt on Saturday night, as they simply could not get anything going due to their limited off-ball movement. It has become evident during this series just how much they rely on James Harden to do just about everything for them, and that’s not fair to him.
The Warriors are surging with confidence now, winning six games in a row and peaking at the right time as they prepare to go to the NBA Finals. Stephen Curry has upped his game and the ball movement has been phenomenal. The Warriors are looking sharp both offensively and defensively, and they have Steve Kerr to thank given his brilliant play calling from the sideline.
The key matchup for this game will be Harden vs. Klay Thompson. If Thompson can continue to play excellent defense on Harden, the Rockets do not have a prayer. But if Harden torches the Warriors’ defense, they have a shot to win this game.
Ultimately, I have the Warriors winning this game. The Rockets have already overachieved this season reaching the Western Conference Finals, and no one would fault them losing to a much better and deeper Warriors squad. It’s just unfortunate for them it will have to come in a sweep.
Prediction: Warriors 105, Rockets 95
