NBA Prospects Who Will Fall In OKC

With the 2015 NBA Draft only less than two weeks away, here are five prospects the Oklahoma City Thunder need to avoid. Sitting at No. 14 overall, the Thunder have many possibilities, but these five should not be one of them.

5. Myles Turner - Texas Longhorns

Turner's biggest assets are his length, youth, and shooting ability. As a big man, these skills may be hard to find, but the fact is the Thunder already have two big in Enes Kanter and Steve Adams. Not to mention, Serge Ibaka. Drafting this No. 10 prospect would be a waste simply because it wouldn't fill any need whatsoever.

4. Frank Kaminsky - Wisconsin Badgers

2014-15 Stats: 18.8 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 2.6 apg

Everyone knows Kaminsky's name now, but his skillset just wouldn't fit OKC's needs. He would be able to stretch the court, but his defense and ceiling are questionable to say the least. Best look elsewhere.

3. Justin Anderson - Virginia Cavaliers

Player Profile: Junior - 6-foot-6, 230 pounds

2014-15 Stats: 12.3 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.8 apg

This No. 24 ranked prospect has explosive athleticism at times, but all his other attributes are average at best. He is a well-rounded player, but nothing to hang your hat on. It would be best to draft someone this high with a much better ceiling.

2. Guillermo Hernangomez - EuroCup Sevilla

Player Profile: International - 6-foot-11, 250 pounds

2014-15 Stats: 10.1 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 0.6 apg

Even though Guillermo "Willie" is one of the top prospects in Europe, it would make no sense to draft this very questionable player. He may have skills in the paint and a shooting touch, but I don't see his skillset being very effective in the NBA. This No. 28 ranked prospect could very easily become a bust.

1. R.J. Hunter - Georgia State Panthers

Player Profile: Junior - 6-foot-6, 185 pounds

2014-15 Stats: 10.1 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 0.6 apg

Hunter may have a good shooting touch, but OKC needs much more than that with their first-round selection. He doesn't offer any defensive ability, and his weight and lack of competition are both reasonable concerns. Plus, there are better fits elsewhere.

Kevin Durant Calls Reggie Jackson's Antics 'Bush League'

The Oklahoma City Thunder elected to sit Kevin Durant against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night, and it ultimately backfired as the Pistons pulled off a huge victory. Pistons point guard and former teammate of Durant's in Oklahoma City Reggie Jackson was rather animated after the win. Jackson's antics didn't sit well with Durant, who called his behavior "bush league."

Drummond Makes Westbrook Look Like A Nobody With Rejection

The Detroit Pistons have quietly worked their way into the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference, and they have been playing some excellent basketball of late. Much of Detroit's success can be attributed to Andre Drummond, who is having a fantastic campaign. On Tuesday night, Drummond let Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook know not to drive the lane without thinking twice by emphatically rejecting his layup attempt in this video.

James Harden Decided Against Contesting Russell Westbrook's Dunk

James Harden clearly isn't worried about what people think of his defensive inefficiencies. He proved this to be the case on Tuesday night, as he inexplicably gave Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook a clear lane to the basket after he turned the ball over during this sequence. Harden's a spectacular scorer, but he will likely never give enough effort on both ends to be a Hall of Famer.

Russell Westbrook Throws Down Massive Slam On 76ers

Stephen Curry is undoubtedly the most talked about point guard in the world, but Russell Westbrook might be the best all-around player at the position. This dunk is just one of a number of unbelievable plays he made against the lowly Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night.
