The New York Knicks are going to make a splash in the 2015 NBA Draft and in free agency, and LaMarcus Aldridge could be a big reason why.

“I think playing (in New York) is awesome. The fans are very loyal. And they’re honest.” LaMarcus Aldridge (con’t)

Of course, the Knicks also hold the No. 4 pick in the draft, which means they could get a future star off of that pick alone.
Aldridge is going to be getting plenty of phone calls this summer — there is no doubt about it. Here’s why: He averaged 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds per game this past season. With numbers like that, Aldridge could turn around any team in the league.
As for New York, it finished 2014-15 with a 17-65 record.
While the Knicks will be going after a player like Aldridge this summer, priority No. 1 should be the draft … considering it is today. In terms of the draft, especially for New York, the rumors are running wild.

Regardless, take these February whispers for what they are — rumors. Aldridge could simply be saying that he thinks New York would be a great place to play, or he could be hinting at the Knicks being his next team.
Still, New York is a possible destination.
