NBA Free Agency has arrived, and Kevin Love is sure to be a hot commodity after opting out of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers. There will be a number of teams looking to lure the power forward away from LeBron James and Co., and the Los Angeles Lakers in particular appear to be serious players.

According to ESPN’s Chris Broussard, the Lakers and Love are set to meet with 2015 NBA Free Agency under way.

Several reports have mentioned that Love has already told the Cavaliers he’ll re-sign, but the Lakers may just offer him enough to reconsider. With Los Angeles, he’d be a bigger piece of the offense instead of a third wheel next to James and Kyrie Irving. He’d be the centerpiece of the Lakers’ offense, and could easily get a max contract from them considering they have plenty of money to spend. The Cavaliers, however, aren’t in as dire of a situation.

With the Lakers expected to meet top free agents with a hoard of Lakers greats, anything can happen. We’ll see if the purple and gold have enough bells and whistles to lure him away from Cleveland.
