When 2015 NBA Free Agency tipped off on Tuesday night (or Wednesday morning for some), the Los Angeles Lakers sat down to discuss the potential of big man LaMarcus Aldridge coming to Hollywood to don the purple and gold.
Although it’s still early, it appears that the meeting went about as well as it could have — minus Aldridge agreeing to a deal.
The Lakers meeting with LaMarcus Aldridge went almost two hours. Source in the room said it went “really well”

Even Kobe Bryant was in on the action, helping the Lakers put together an exciting pitch that could very well lead to Aldridge taking his talents to Los Angeles.
Been told Kobe Bryant was “very good” in Lakers meeting with LaMarcus Aldridge. Also that meeting went “well,” for what that’s worth.

As previously mentioned, it’s still early in the free agency process. Although the Lakers had the first shot at wooing Aldridge, the former Portland Trail Blazers star has several other visits lined up with contenders such as the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets. Even if the Lakers did blow away Aldridge during the meeting, it was unlikely he would agree to a deal until he had an opportunity to hear what other teams had to say.
This will surely be an interesting situation to watch as we move into the first full day of NBA Free Agency. It’s still anyone’s game, but the Lakers appear to have taken the early lead.
