With the draft now over, it is time for NBA teams to begin focusing on the upcoming summer leagues. This is especially true for the Philadelphia 76ers. As the franchise enters its third year of rebuilding, there are plenty of roster spots that can be earned over the course of the next few weeks. As they get set to participate in both the Utah Jazz Summer League and the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, here are five players worth keeping an eye on.

During last year’s summer league in Orlando, Pierre Jackson looked as though he had a shot at earning a spot on the 76ers' regular season roster, but that all came to an end once he suffered a torn Achilles. Now one year removed from this devastating injury, Jackson once again finds himself on the 76ers' summer league roster. Should he be able to get onto the court, this 5-foot-10 guard could be one of the more entertaining players to watch.

Despite being undrafted in 2015, T.J. McConnell’s chances of making it to training camp with the 76ers are better than most. A 6-foot-3 point guard from Arizona, McConnell signed a partially guaranteed contract with the team shortly after the 2015 NBA Draft. As a playmaking point guard, McConnell has the potential to fill a need for the 76ers – something they have been unable to do so far this offseason.

The No. 58 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, Jordan McRae split his time last season playing in both Australia and in Delaware as a member of the 76ers NBA D-League team. A late addition to their summer league roster, the 76ers will likely evaluate what kind of potential McRae has at both guard positions.

One of the team’s second-round picks in the 2015 NBA Draft, J.P. Tokoto will likely see plenty of playing time for the 76ers this summer. During this time, the 76ers will likely try to assess whether this athletic shooting guard will be able to contribute for them next season or if he will need to spend some time in developing his game in the D-League.

The No. 3 overall pick in last month’s draft, Jahlil Okafor could be one of the centerpieces that the 76ers rebuild their franchise around. This is especially true as Joel Embiid’s future remains uncertain. In case that wasn’t enough, Okafor’s participation this summer means that for the first time since Evan Turner back in 2010, the 76ers will have their top overall pick play for them in the NBA’s summer leagues.
