Russell Westbrook Carries OKC Thunder to Win, Falls One Rebound Short of Triple-Double

By Anthony Blake

It’s become a nightly ritual when Russell Westbrook takes the floor – did he get a triple-double?

Well, the Oklahoma City Thunder star came up one rebound shy of his 42nd such instance this season, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t ridiculously clutch when the team needed him most on Wednesday night.

@russwest44 puts up 45 points, 10 assists, 9 rebounds & 5 steals to lead the @okcthunder in Memphis!

Notching 45 points, 10 assists, nine rebounds and five steals is nothing to sneeze at, but it was his two clutch threes in the waning moments and a killer assist on the game-winning triple that made this Westbrook performance so memorable.

It’s criminal if this cat doesn’t win the NBA MVP.

Just sayin’.
