After Kevin Durant bailed on the Oklahoma City Thunder this past offseason, most expected Russell Westbrook to pick up the slack and flourish in his new alpha role.

But it would be fair to say that few anticipated his transcendence into the most well-rounded player since Oscar Robertson.

This was assist No. 820 on the year which locked up a triple-double average for Westbrook on a per game basis this season.

And at just 6-foot-3, it’s fair to wonder if this accomplishment trumps all other feats in NBA history given the sheer workload he’s taken on night after night.
